THE BOOK
Twenty-seven years ago, I
was struck by an insight into a neurobiological
mechanism that had the potential to explain how the
experience of sensorium consciousness could be
sustained within the physical structures of the
brain. Twenty-seven years of further
investigation and reflection upon the implications
of this theory have
only served to increase my confidence in the view
that this may actually be the way things
actually are.
But you must weigh the biophysical evidence for
yourself to determine whether this hypothesis is
corroborated by your own experience. I have included
the introduction, chapter one, and summaries of the
first five chapters on this web site to give you a
taste of what is in store. The full-course
meal—a 284 page quality paperback—is
available for purchase from Lulu.com
