THE AUTHOR

I was born on April Fool’s Day, 1958, in the town of Point Arena, California, about 30 miles south of the beach where these photos were taken.  I currently live in Sonoma, California.  Having been a schoolteacher for a number of years, I now feel a hankering to try something new.  I took the last few years off to write full time, and this book is the record of that inner journey.

I feel drawn to deepen my meditation practice—and also to find intellectual and spiritual community with others eager to engage in an open-minded dharma/science dialectic.
